Thursday Morning
Talked to mom this morning. Eric had just called her, as well. Had a good night. Said there weren't any more issues after dad got out of the shower last night. She sounded tired, and I told her so. She said Eric said the same thing. She isn't tired, but she feels mind weary and that must show in her voice. Yeah, weary is a good word to describe how she sounded. She said after dad's shower last night, he just sat on the couch and stared at the floor with his shoulders slumped over. He looked so dejected, and it broke her heart. Told her we can't assume he felt dejected, he may have been tired, or just staring. I see where she is coming from, and feel so badly for her. Will call her later today.

Crap...I hope he wasn't sittin' there dejected. Makes my heart hurt to think about that. I am sure that there are a lotta times when he is well aware that things are not right, and just can't figure out why or do anything about it. Gotta be frustrating for him when he is aware of it. Makes me so sad for the both of them.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. When she told me that, I felt horrible for both of them. He is still aware at time when things aren't right, which is why he has often said he just wants to hang it up. I don't blame him, really. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

ReplyDeleteThat is exactly why I sat there with him and talked with him about planes. Just to make him feel like he is a part of something, wanted, loved, heck I don't know.
DeleteI just got off the phone with Mom. Said they had a good day, but she feels so bad for Dad. She said it is a pathetic situation, and I agree. Feel so bad for him, beacuse like we have said, he is with it enough to know he's not right. He just can do anything about it. That has got to be a horrible feeling. Can't imagine.
