Last night, guess dad was a little agitated, but he calmed down and went to bed about 8:30. Hard to know what he was agitated about.
This morning, mom called down there and they had gone down to his room to get him moving, and he started swinging. Left him alone, and will try again. Ugh.

Mom called. She called again, and dad had gotten dressed and eaten. Doing fine.
I hope he gets past this butt kickin' phase soon. We cant have them kicking him outta there. Crap...then what would we do?
ReplyDeleteI agree. I know this is normal during the adjustment period. I am wondering if his agitation stems from the visiting yesterday. Not sure if there was too much, and that gets him going, or if that even has anything to do with it. I am just throwing stuff out there to consider. I will try and get in touch with Mary, the director this week, and see what she thinks. Going up to see him tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the visiting stuff. I suggested to Shirl last night that maybe for a while, she should go see him only in the morning or early afternoon,, and not in the evening. That will give his poor brain some time to wind down after seeing his woman and gettin' fired up about not being able to leave with her. Maybe you could mention that to her also...
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't kick him out.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they will kick him out, yet. If this is an ongoing thing, they may. I do know they have had patients like this and it's taken a few months for them to get adjusted. I will keep you posted when I talk with Mary this week.
