Talked to mom. She didn't have as good a night last night, but was doing well. Just getting adjusted to being alone. She is in good spirits, and getting ready to go down and spend some time with dad. She did call the place shortly before 8:00, and dad was still asleep - had a good night.

Reminded her that he will have good and bad days there, just like he had at home. She said yes, she needs to remember this. We all need to remember this.

After Mom's visit:
He was doing well, mom spent a couple of hours with him. Was sitting in the big chair in the main room, got up when she came in. He recognizes her, but doesn't know she is his wife. He had eaten breakfast, even though he told her he hadn't. They went to his room, and he just wanted to stand. Talked about what he'd been doing, and he told her was going to go hunting. She told him there was nothing to hunt this time of year, but he will be able to go outside when the weather gets better. Then he said, "Well, guess I'll be taking off." She asked him where she was going, and he told her here and there. Walked back down to the main room with him and said her good-byes. She was careful not to say "home", just told him she was leaving and would be back, and that others will be in to see him. He said OK, wasn't agitated, very pleasant. Mom is excited about getting out tonight and going to Bry's play. We'll call to see how dad is doing this evening, and then I'll come back up and spend the night. Eric will be home today, and he and Fred will move in the rest of dad's stuff, so we can get his room all "his".
