Monday Update, March 11

Talked to mom this afternoon.  She called at dad's place this morning, and he had a great night.  Slept well, and was up early eating breakfast.    She talked to Sally, and she said he was doing really well.  Mom went down this afternoon, and he was in a great mood.  Had just eaten a cupcake, and was on his way back to his room.  He decided he wanted to go back up and sit in the big room, so they did for awhile.   His TV was hooked up, so he and mom watched it for a little while.  They were starting dinner a little earlier tonight, cuz it's Family Home Evening, so she left and he walked to his table.   She said he was happy, didn't seem sad at all.   He did tell her that "they have a lot going on at this place".  I know they have activities every day - music therapy, games, etc.   She told him she would see him tomorrow, and he said OK.

It's been a week since he slugged someone.   YEAH!   I really do think he is settling in, and seems to be comfortable.   I got that impression yesterday, even though he was really sleepy.  He will likely have bad days, just like he did at home, but I feel good that he seems to be settling down and is the mild mannered pop.
